Future development of Heywood Sports

We are planning to extend the club in 2011 with an extra 6800sq ft of floor space, providing spar facilities, fitness studio / function room, extended gym ,new showers and changing rooms and contemporary bar with large balcony overlooking the tennis courts.

Proposed ground floor to include; pool, steam room and sauna, built in a contemporary style with new changing rooms and power showers. The present ground floor gym is to be extended to provide a dedicated ladies area with a range of new equipment and feature a glass wall with views accross the pool and outside making this a very bright and airy gym. Outside will host a tropical patio with hot tub to provide the ultimate relaxation for our members.

Proposed first floor large reception / bar with comfy seating, leading onto the balcony where you can sit in the sun and watch tennis. Fitness studio with creche,for all the classes that we run at the Heywood which will double as a function room for some great social events. The existing bar is to be converted to a games room providing pool, football tables, air hockey, skittle alley and wii sports games. A new kitchen will provide a range of hot meals and healthy snacks making Heywood Sports and Racquet Club the ideal location for socialising.
